Based in Singapore, you will develop new business opportunities, strengthen strategic customer relationships and drive sales across Exail’s portfolio of maritime robotics, autonomous naval systems, subsea navigation and underwater positioning solutions.

This is a highly strategic and customer-facing position combining business development, technical sales, key account management and defence programme capture.

Your mission will be to identify opportunities at an early stage, position Exail’s technologies with key regional stakeholders and turn complex, long-term programmes into sustainable business.

Your responsibilities:

You will be responsible for developing and executing Exail’s regional sales and business development strategy. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Identify and develop new opportunities across naval defence, maritime autonomy, mine countermeasures, subsea navigation and underwater positioning.
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of short-, medium- and long-term opportunities.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle, from early opportunity identification and qualification through tendering, negotiation and contract award.
  • Identify and capture major naval modernisation and autonomous maritime programmes across APAC.
  • Develop strategic relationships with navies, defence organisations, shipyards, defence primes, system integrators and maritime technology companies.
  • Manage and develop regional partners, agents and industrial cooperation opportunities.

  • Represent Exail at major defence and maritime industry events across the region.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, CRM reporting and strategic account plans.

Develop strategic defence programmes

You will engage with customers and partners early in their programmes to understand operational challenges and position Exail’s technologies accordingly. Working alongside our product, engineering and programme teams, you will contribute to the development of competitive technical and commercial solutions for complex naval and maritime programmes.

You will also monitor regional defence programmes, procurement activities, market developments and competitive dynamics to identify future growth opportunities.

You have a proven track record of developing new business and managing complex, long-term sales opportunities. Previous experience securing major contracts or contributing to large defence or naval programmes in APAC will be particularly valuable.

Your background

To succeed in this role, you ideally bring:

  • A strong understanding of naval procurement processes, defence programmes and complex sales cycles.
  • Experience selling sophisticated technical equipment, integrated systems or solutions.
