Mission
As a Senior Database Developer, you design, develop, and optimize robust data pipelines that ensure seamless and secure data flows between our applications and external interfaces. You set up, maintain, and improve both relational and NoSQL databases, guaranteeing data integrity, high performance, and scalability within a demanding on-premise, domain-specific environment.
You design advanced storage solutions and scalable data infrastructure, selecting and implementing frameworks capable of handling and indexing large volumes of sensor, mission, and synthetic data. You create tailored logical and physical data models, build complex ER-models, define effective indexing strategies, and develop data migration scripts that integrate smoothly into our C#/.NET and Entity Framework ecosystem.
Working closely with functional analysts, you translate operational and business requirements into robust data structures and a coherent data architecture. You also contribute to the integration of MLOps workflows and internally developed AI applications, ensuring production-ready data flows and models.
Fully embedded in agile development teams, you collaborate with software developers and DevOps engineers to ensure our solutions are deployable, maintainable, and aligned with the needs of the defense & maritime domain.

WHO WE ARE
The Belgian division – Exail Robotics Belgium – develops underwater drones that detect, identify, and destroy mines. Thanks to our innovative concept, which our clients such as the Belgian and Dutch navies will use, we can significantly reduce the risks involved in defusing mines. These technologies are safer and faster than traditional manners.17
