You will work under the guidance of the Configuration Leader and contribute to the traceability, consistency, and control of product data throughout its lifecycle — from design to delivery and maintenance. The role is critical in ensuring compliance with military standards, Exail’s internal procedures, and regulatory requirements.

This is a great opportunity to work on high-value industrial products, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the continuous improvement and digitalization of configuration processes, especially through VBA scripting and data visualization tools.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and control product data including parts, BOMs, drawings, and technical documentation in PLM and ERP systems.

  • Handle creation, modification, and updates of parts and components in PLM/ERP tools.

  • Help define and maintain configuration baselines and ensure data consistency across systems.

  • Support and prepare Configuration Control Boards (CCB), including tracking of change requests and implementation plans.

  • Ensure compliance with industry and defence standards (e.g., ISO 10007, ISO 9001).

  • Work closely with engineering, project management, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure data accuracy and synchronization.

  • Prepare documentation for internal and external audits, including traceability reports and configuration records.

  • Generate Configuration Status documentation and KPIs.

  • Contribute to new project Configuration Management Plans, in collaboration with the Configuration Leader.

  • Automate recurring tasks and improve workflows using Excel VBA, Access and optionally Power BI for data analysis and dashboard creation.

Profile

  • Degree in Engineering, Industrial Systems, or a related field.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in configuration management, ideally in the defence, aerospace, or railway industries.

  • Good command of PLM and ERP systems (e.g., AX, Windchill).

  • Strong skills in Excel VBA programming for automation and data processing

  • Solid understanding of product data management, change control, and version management.

  • Rigor, attention to detail, and a structured, organized approach to data.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

  • Fluency in English and French; Dutch is a plus
